Aptamil Follow On Milk || REVIEW
A few weeks ago Aptamil got in touch to ask us to try out their new Follow on Milk with Pronutra-Advance and to give an honest review of how we found the transition from their old formulation to this new one.
The irony was we were already using the new formulation and I hadn’t even noticed! I’m clearly not very observant but I think it is a review in itself that neither Nova or I had noticed a change. It was a completely smooth, uneventful transition.
So, some of the nitty gritty facts:
The new Aptamil Follow On Milk with Pronutra-ADVANCE has replaced Aptamil Follow On Milk with Pronutra+ powder formulation.
The latest patented formulation combines a new process and a unique blend of ingredients including: Vitamins A, C & D, and Iron. Vitamin D supports the normal function of the immune system. Iron supports normal cognitive development.
The Follow On Milk ready to drink bottles haven’t changed formulation but it’s totally fine to use those alongside this new powder formulation.
As a trusted well known brand I chose to use Aptamil Follow On Milk back when Jet was a baby and so it just felt like the natural choice with Nova. In prep for this review I had a phonecall with Aptamil’s Scientist and Innovation Manager and it was so reassuring to hear the passion they have to create the highest quality, nourishing products they possibly can.
In terms of bottle preparation, I learnt a few tips from the Scientist and Innovation Manager:
Boil a a litre of water 30 mins before you’ll need it
Pour the water into the bottle
Add the powder
Shake for 10 seconds. This is something I’ve failed to do in the past and have sometimes found lumps at the bottom. It’s super important to give the bottle a really efficient 10 second shake to give all the powder the chance to dissolve properly. (Check out Nova, in the photo above, getting impatient while I was shaking the bottle! ha bless her)
Check the temp by putting a bit on your arm.
Et Voila. Feed your little bubs.
If you’re currently using Aptamil follow on milk and you notice the change in packaging next time you’re in store, don’t panic. You are totally safe to transition to the new one and I bet your little one won’t even notice!
